The Rev. Michael Lessard, pastor and chaplain
A pastor, a chaplain, a writer of forty years

The Story Behind the Books

The Rev. Michael Lessard is the founder and CEO of Pastoral Care Associates, providing contracted chaplain services for hospitals and care centers. Across four decades of ordained ministry, he has written four books — including the novel The Lost Dutchman and the pastoral reflection Living in the New Creation.

Trained at St. John's Seminary, with graduate work in psychology and clinical pastoral education, his writing carries the same gentleness as his ministry: a focus on active listening, the value of presence, and a caring message of God's love through seasons of grief, healing, and hope.
